Community Access is a not-for-profit agency, helping people with psychiatric disabilities make the transition from shelters and hospitals to independent living.  We provide safe, affordable housing and support services, and we advocate for the rights of people to live without fear or stigma.

Housing

Community Access is dedicated to providing not just "housing" but a home—a clean, safe, affordable place to develop a support system of friends and allies. For people coming out of homeless shelters or institutions, peers and professional staff provide the essential "friends and family" that many have not had for a very long time. Community Access staff, many of whom have a history of mental illness, serve as valuable role models and are always available to help residents cope with mental health, employment and other issues.

Community Access currently provides over 600 units of supportive housing at different levels that cater to individual needs.

We operate two types of housing models:

Transitional Housing, which focuses on rehabilitative services.

Permanent Housing, in which tenants hold leases and receive services as needed.
